Stat was completely blank and trying to turn on random times but didn’t pop any led. Just quick flashes of light blue. Checked 24v from c to r (confirmed) jumpered g,r,y (cooling wires) and unit turned on completely right away. Went into the attic to inspect the drain. The main drain port and secondary drain were in the wrong positions. And the 2nd drain wasn’t completely glued together. Fixed the drain to properly how it should had been installed the very first time. And re designed the drain. Put thread tape around the male adapter fittings to fully entrap this water where it needs to flow. After finishing drain I took a shop vacuum and got all the access water out of the drain pan and inspected it thoroughly. All good no rust spots. Poured 5 bottles of water down the drain and the water drained perfectly fine. After putting stat back on the wall the stat actually turned on and went thru its delay and turned the unit on. The evaporator coil we replaced was the downstairs unit

Today, I addressed temperature issues in a home with a Lennox Elite Series XC13. Diagnosed a malfunctioning thermostat and a clogged air filter. Replaced the faulty thermostat and installed a new air filter. Checked refrigerant levels and ensured the evaporator coil was clean. Verified that the blower motor and fan were operating within specifications. The HVAC system is now functioning efficiently, resolving the temperature issues.

Installed a new 5-ton Trane HVAC system for a client today. The process involved removing the old equipment, upgrading the electrical service to 60A, running 14-2 low-voltage wiring, and setting the new air handler and condenser. I also charged the system with R-410A refrigerant and performed airflow adjustments for maximum efficiency.

Had a defective nest. Was error coding when trying to switch to phase 2 cooling. Was under warranty so he swapped with manufacturer and would like the new one installed.
